Scania are a name unknown in North America but that doesn’t stop them being one of the world’s larger truck makers. They have more than 30% of the large truck market here and many public service buses are on Scania chassis.
They didn’t always make just buses and trucks though. Until 1929 there were Scania Vabis cars.

Not unknown here. Just not sold here. Saab advertised them for a while. (No idea why).
